About Me
I am a dedicated radiation oncologist at Memorial Cancer Institute, with decades of experience treating both pediatric and adult patients. My passion for cancer care began in my teens when my grandmother battled recurrent breast cancer, inspiring me to pursue a career in oncology.
After graduate studies in radiation physics, where I participated in clinical trials on hyperthermia treatments, I completed medical school, followed by a residency in radiation oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) and a fellowship in brachytherapy at Cornell.
A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, but fear of the unknown is often the hardest part. My approach prioritizes building relationships with patients, clear communication and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure the best possible care. I focus on making patients feel seen, heard and supported while guiding them and their families through treatment and follow-up care.
As I subspecialized in pediatric radiation oncology and adult cancers of the prostate, bladder, brain, and spine, I also worked to bring cutting-edge treatments like CyberKnife radiosurgery to Memorial and helped lay the foundation for a growing Brachytherapy program. My commitment extends to clinical trials and research, continuously advancing cancer care.
