About Me

I am a neurocritical care physician at Memorial Healthcare System. I care for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) with a variety of neurological concerns including intracerebral hemorrhage, large hemispheric infarctions (stroke caused by a clot), subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural/epidural hematomas, status epilepticus, autoimmune neurological diseases such as myasthenia gravis with crises, traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.

I have always been interested in the brain since childhood and felt drawn to the neurocritical field. I love working in the ICU because of the wide variety of critical illnesses that I get to treat that all relate to the nervous system.

Even though I am caring for patients who are critically ill and dealing with timely concerns and illnesses, I love learning as much as I can about who they are as a person, in addition to focusing on their illnesses. Every person in the ICU has a life outside the hospital, and we do our best to help patients recover so they can return to it. I fully believe in the power of medicine to help people get better from their injuries and illnesses and am honored to play a role in the process.
