About Me

I am a vascular and endovascular surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System, specializing in the treatment of patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD). My work includes performing minimally invasive procedures, such as EVAR and TEVAR, to address aneurysms and aortic dissections. I also perform stroke-prevention surgeries, which involve restoring blood flow through the carotid arteries — delicate and precise procedures designed to protect brain health.

My inspiration to become a doctor came from a deeply personal experience. Growing up, I was very close to my grandfather, who lived with diabetes for many years. He developed peripheral arterial disease, and eventually, complications led to the loss of both his legs. Witnessing his struggles ignited my passion to help patients with vascular disease preserve their mobility and quality of life.

When caring for my patients, I take a collaborative approach, involving them, their families, and caregivers in every step of the process. I prioritize clear communication and active listening, so my patients feel informed, empowered, and confident in their treatment plans. PAD can cause severe leg pain, open wounds, and, in advanced cases, lead to amputations. I’ve seen firsthand how losing a limb impacts not just the patient but their family and community as well. That’s why amputation is always a last resort in my practice.

Before joining Memorial, I co-founded and was co-director of the Limb Preservation Program at Aventura Hospital from 2021 to 2024. By working closely with podiatry and medical teams, we successfully reduced the number of amputations due to chronic limb-threatening ischemia to just 3%.

In addition to my surgical expertise, I hold a master’s degree in human nutrition. I enjoy working with my patients to explore dietary strategies that complement their treatment and promote better vascular health.
