Dr. German Giese is a Hospital Medicine physician at Memorial Healthcare System. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 2004. He completed a residency in internal medicine at John H. Stroger Hospital in Chicago in 2014 and then joined the University of Miami as assistant professor of medicine until 2017. Since his graduation he has been continuously involved in academic medicine, directly teaching and mentoring an increasing number of residents and medical students from several medical schools.

Dr. Giese joined Memorial Healthcare System in January 2018 and is currently the Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency training program, which trains more than 60 physicians every year. His main areas of interest are medical education and quality improvement in healthcare delivery. Dr. Giese is a graduate of the Intermountain Advanced Training Program, an institution that pioneered the science of quality improvement in the United States.

Dr. Giese is also board certified in Utilization Review and Quality Assurance by the American Board of Utilization Review and Quality Assurance Physicians, and he is actively involved in the Society of Hospital Medicine, the American College of Physicians and other professional societies.
