About Me
I am a board-certified neurosurgeon at Memorial Healthcare System, specializing in comprehensive care for patients with neurosurgical conditions. As the lead spine surgeon at Memorial Hospital West, I treat a wide range of spine disorders, including degenerative diseases, spine trauma, tumors, and cancer-related conditions.
One of my key areas of expertise is metastatic spine and brain tumors. I work closely with oncologists, radiation oncologists and neuroradiologists at Memorial Cancer Institute to provide collaborative, personalized care. I also founded a multidisciplinary tumor board at Memorial Hospital West, bringing together top specialists to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
My path to neurosurgery started early. My father, who has polio and is paralyzed in his right leg, inspired my lifelong mission to help people regain mobility and improve their quality of life. This personal connection drives my commitment to treating patients who are paralyzed or have the potential to walk again.
What I love most about my work is connecting with patients. I strive to be a thoughtful listener, understanding not just the medical aspects of each case but also the personal experiences that shape them. My goal is always to offer honest, transparent advice, treating every patient as if they were a member of my own family.
At Memorial, I’m proud to be part of a dedicated neurosurgical team. Our specialists, trained at some of the world’s top institutions, share a common passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a patient-centered environment. By working together seamlessly, we ensure exceptional outcomes and a truly supportive experience for the families we serve.
I grew up in Boston and completed my medical training at Tel Aviv University in Israel, where I deepened my connection to my family’s heritage and developed a passion for global medical work. These experiences have shaped my commitment to providing specialized care to communities worldwide. In October 2023, I stayed for several weeks to help deliver critical care to Israeli communities surrounding the Gaza Strip.
Outside of work, I am a husband and father of four. One of my proudest moments was becoming a kidney donor. After learning about the urgent need for living donors, I chose to donate my kidney to help someone live a fuller, healthier life. This experience reaffirmed my belief in the power of compassion and the impact of small acts of kindness.
