Memorial Cancer Institute is one of the largest cancer centers in Florida and the largest in Broward County, treating over 5,000 new cancer patients each year. Our new freestanding center on the Memorial Hospital West Campus enables us to continue strengthening our ability to provide personalized cancer care. The center includes patient navigators to guide patients through cutting-edge cancer treatments, clinical trials and research that provides access to breakthroughs in treatment, and more.

The design of Memorial Cancer Institute was a collaborative effort of physicians, staff, patients and families and includes natural elements of light, color, technology and convenience, creating a space for healing. The structural design of four floors allows for future growth and capacity to grow an additional three floors without disruption of operations.

Radiation Oncology
The Radiation Oncology department is a testament to the monumental strides made in radiation therapy over the past 25 years. We offer Gamma Knife technology, lauded for its pinpoint accuracy in tumor irradiation, alongside the Halcyon system which augments precise tumor targeting. A meticulous CT simulation precedes treatment planning, ensuring a personalized, tailored approach to each patient's treatment pathway. Beyond the advanced technology, the ambiance of the radiation oncology center is thoughtfully crafted to alleviate clinical intimidation. Center for Mind, Body, and Spirit
The Center for Body, Mind, and Spirit is a cornerstone of the Institute’s compassionate yet advanced approach to cancer care. The unique boutique and salon offers an array of natural vegan products and services such as prosthetic and mastectomy bra fittings, wig fittings, and wellness services including massages, manicures, and pedicures.

At the heart of this center is an understanding of the traumatic, life-altering journey of cancer not just for patients, but for their families too. Patients and their families can access practical services in a setting that transcends clinical coldness, offering a spa-like ambiance. The center creates a supportive environment where one can feel a semblance of normalcy amidst a tumultuous life phase.

Aligned with Memorial’s mission, the center is staffed by caring, certified professionals adept at delivering personalized services with a tender touch. The complimentary head shaving service is one such offering, designed to make a potentially traumatic experience less stressful, with an open invitation for family involvement to foster a shared journey of healing. Armed with a sophisticated 9-bay processing center, the lab swiftly delivers critical results on Comprehensive Metabolic Panels (CMPs) and Complete Blood Counts (CBCs), pivotal for administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immunotherapy. The on-site CMP capability is a game-changer in the current landscape of advanced medications, ensuring seamless, timely clearance for treatments. In the lab refrigeration technology facilitates immediate access to essential blood products.
