There are people who serve with their expertise, others who serve with their hearts—and a few rare leaders who do both. Beth-Ann Krimsky is one of those people.

A skilled litigator and partner at Greenspoon Marder LLP, Beth-Ann brings more than her legal acumen to her newest role as chair of the Memorial and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundations. She brings lived experience, unwavering compassion, and a deep-rooted belief in the power of giving back.

A Personal Mission Becomes a Community Calling

Beth-Ann’s involvement with the Foundations began in 2019, inspired by longtime hospital advocate Carl Schuster, whose own commitment to the hospital deeply moved her. “He encouraged me to join the Board, and it has been a privilege to support the incredible work of the teams at Memorial and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital ever since,” she says.

For Beth-Ann, this work is far more than philanthropic—it’s personal. As the mother of three sons, one of whom was treated by both the pediatric oncology and adult cardiac teams, she knows what it means to rely on exceptional care in the moments that matter most.

“I’ve seen firsthand the phenomenal skills and compassion of our doctors, nurses, administrators, and staff,” she shares. “I am so grateful to be part of the continuing history of the Foundations, helping ensure we have the best care at every stage of life for members of our community.”

Giving With Intention

When asked if there’s a particular area of the Foundation that’s closest to her heart, Beth-Ann acknowledges the complexity of need within the healthcare system.

“It’s hard to choose just one,” she says. “Making sure we’re able to attract and support the best doctors—and provide them with the latest equipment—is essential. But I also have a deep appreciation for the programs that support families and patients beyond the clinical.”

Programs that ease the emotional toll of care—those that meet patients where they are and support families through difficult moments—are especially important to her.

“Those supplemental services that help people cope and make the journey a little easier really resonate with me,” she says. “Everyone deserves that kind of support.”

Rooted in Gratitude

Beth-Ann’s commitment to giving back is rooted in her deep gratitude for the care her own family received—and in the understanding that access to care today is the result of generosity from those who came before.

“The South Florida community was there for my family when we needed it most,” she reflects. “The services and facilities that made a difference in our lives were only there because of people who gave, long before we knew we’d need them. Now it’s our turn to build for the future.”

Leading by Example

Beth-Ann’s approach to philanthropy is shaped by her upbringing. Her parents didn’t have significant financial resources to donate, but they gave generously of their time and energy—and modeled that value for their children.

“They were the ones setting up the fundraising carnival at 5:00 a.m. or baking cookies after a long day at work,” she recalls. “They instilled in us a sense of responsibility to our community that extended beyond our immediate family. Being part of something larger was both a gift and a responsibility.”

That sense of purpose continues to guide her today.

“I believe in the power of community—when we come together to support each other, we all benefit,” she says.

Advice for Aspiring Changemakers

When asked what advice she’d give someone who wants to give back, even if they’re not in a position to donate financially, Beth-Ann is clear: Everyone has something to offer.

“Consider how you can contribute your time and skills. Volunteering, supporting others, sharing your expertise—these are powerful ways to make a difference. Sometimes, just being present for someone can mean the world.”

A Vision for the Future

As Chair, Beth-Ann is committed to expanding philanthropic awareness, strengthening support for programs that impact every age and stage of care, and ensuring that the values of stewardship, compassion, and excellence remain at the heart of everything the Foundations do.

“I am so grateful to the doctors, nurses, and entire support teams at both Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Memorial Regional who have helped our family in so many life-altering ways,” she says. “We’re fortunate to have world-class care right here in our community, and my goal is to continue expanding and strengthening those services.”

She’s also deeply appreciative of the support system around her—her husband Peter, their sons Brendan, Spencer, and Harrison, her colleagues at Greenspoon Marder, and the many friends and mentors who encourage her passion for philanthropy.

Building a legacy of care, Beth-Ann Krimsky’s story is one of service, gratitude, and vision. She’s honoring those who gave before her by leading with compassion today—and helping to ensure that future generations have access to the same exceptional care. Join Beth-Ann in building the future of healthcare for our community.
