Memorial Neuroscience Center
Located at Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital West, Memorial Neuroscience Center is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of neurological disorders and injuries in adults and children. Our team of physicians — including specialists in neurology, neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology — utilizes advanced technology and innovative procedures to effectively treat both chronic and acute conditions. Assessment testing, rehabilitative therapies, social services and other support services also are available to assist patients with acute illness or injury.
Memorial’s Brain Attack/Stroke Programs, part of Memorial Neuroscience Center, have earned certification as Primary Stroke Centers by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the nation’s predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. The Programs are operational at both Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital West. JCAHO’s Primary Stroke Center Certification is based on recommendations for Primary Stroke Centers published by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association.
