Language Services
Memorial Healthcare System serves a vibrant Hispanic community in South Florida, and we strive to provide Spanish-speaking patients with medical care in their own language, which we believe leads to a better standard of care. Each Memorial Healthcare System hospital has a Hispanic Services coordinator on staff to coordinate care for Spanish speakers. In addition, every Memorial facility has signs in English and Spanish, and many educational materials and brochures are available in Spanish.
Our hospitals maintain a list of names of employees who speak foreign languages, so we can communicate with patients in their own language. Please ask your nurse or caregiver about arranging translation services for languages other than Spanish.
Special Needs
At Memorial Regional Hospital, we want your experience to be as pleasant as possible. If you or a family member has a disability or requires accommodations for special needs, please let us know.
Our Patients With Special Needs office can help if you or your child requires accommodations such as low-vision and hearing-impaired telephone devices (such as TTY devices). We also make a sign language interpreter available to patients and their families.
If you would like to arrange assistance or know more about our special needs services, please call the coordinator for Patients with Special Needs at (954) 986-6343.
