Volunteering at Memorial

Volunteering at Memorial

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the outreach programs Memorial Healthcare System supports through an initiative called “Community First.” Employees and members of the community give thousands of hours to these programs every year, ensuring a level of success that would not be possible without their participation.

In addition, Volunteer Services brings together a diverse group of caring, committed and specially trained volunteers to assist the staff at Memorial Healthcare System.

From teenagers to great-grandparents, the volunteers at Memorial Healthcare System are a close-knit group who share one thing in common: the rich reward of helping others.

Memorial Healthcare System offers a variety of positions and special projects for anyone interested in volunteering. Some positions require regular hours, while others are flexible enough to accommodate people whose schedules will not allow them to volunteer a set number of hours. Some duties can even be performed by people who have limited mobility or are homebound.

Here are just a few of the many opportunities available at our facilities:

  • Admitting
  • Child Care
  • Clerical
  • Environmental Services
  • Flower Delivery
  • Fundraising
  • Gift Shop
  • Mail Room
  • Reception Desk
